This is my SECOND attempt at drawing a feathered raptor and this time it doesn't suck!
In this video, I’m revisiting the feathered raptor that I drew in 2015 https://youtu.be/o58Uf3vWaNg to see how much my digital art has improved since my first attempt! Unlike my original pencil sketch, I’m using digital brushes to create a more impressionistic, "painterly" feel for the feathers while aiming for scientific accuracy.
This design is heavily inspired by the Jurassic Park Velociraptors and the Indoraptor’s color palette. To make it feel more grounded, I added realistic wattling and skin textures around the eyes, similar to what you’d see on a vulture or a chicken.
