🔵Final Fantasy VII Remake is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The game is a remake of the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix developed the remake as a multi-part series, with the first entry released for the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020, with timed exclusivity for one year.
Cloud Strife is a former first-class SOLDIER, the elite warriors of the Shinra Electric Power Company which rules the metropolis city of Midgar. Shinra uses massive reactors to drain mako -- spiritual energy -- from the planet, in order to power Midgar and develop new technologies. Disillusioned with Shinra, Cloud hires himself out to Avalanche, an eco-terrorist organization led by the temperamental Barret Wallace. Avalanche plans to bomb Shinra's energy reactors. Cloud is haunted by memories and hallucinations of Sephiroth, an enigmatic and powerful former high-ranking SOLDIER. Cloud also becomes reacquainted with his childhood friend Tifa Lockhart who is affiliated with Avalanche. The group also fights off strange ghost-like hooded creatures.
