Description
This tutorial shows how to make a fabric face mask with an adjustable nose wire and filter pocket.
To make a mask, you will need the following supplies:
1 - piece of 100% cotton fabric measuring 18" x 8 ½"
2- 1" strips of fabric measuring 40" long (1/2" bias tape can be used instead)
1- 4" piece of a chenille stem (also known as pipe cleaner)
Pinking shears or rotary cutter with a pinking blade
Sewing machine
* Please note, a fabric mask is not an appropriate substitute for a N95 mask. This mask can be worn over an N95 or worn with a filter inserted. Worn alone, these masks also can help reduce exposure and germ transmission for people working in public places or out grocery shopping, etc. In times like these a fabric mask is better than nothing.
