Hey everyone, LONG TIME!! I really missed being on here. Life has been full and I've gone through many life changes. This first one was moving out with my husband to our first place together. Finding an apartment was a very hard thing to do as many listings go quickly and in this market apartments (and houses) are pricey! We decided to go the route of a basement apartment because there were more listings available and they seem to be more updated then the apartments in buildings that we seen. Somewhere that has been a helpful tool for us in the search is Facebook marketplace. Basement apartments definitely have there pros & cons so if you want more info about that choice then feel free to ask. 1 bedroom apartments in buildings can range from $1,700-$2,000+ in the GTA (Toronto, Brampton, Missisauga.. etc) but we found basement apartments to be a bit less.
