Before he became the legendary Cheo Feliciano, he was a kid in Ponce dreaming of sharing his voice with the world, even forming his first band, El Combo Las Latas, at just eight years old. Cheo became a salsa pioneer, influencing some of the greatest voices in salsa, including Rubén Blades, Gilberto Santa Rosa and many others.
Today, we celebrate his birthday and legacy with this unforgettable performance of “El Ratón” with the Fania All Stars from the 1974 Live in Africa documentary.
