The new Echocore Sector 556 has been getting a lot of buzz lately… and after running it, I get why.
Most 5.56 suppressors force you into a tradeoff—either they sound decent but gas you out, or they reduce backpressure but give you that sharp, high-pitched tone. This one doesn’t really play by those rules.
The Sector 556 has a noticeably deeper tone than most cans in this category, especially on shorter rifles. It’s not that typical “crack + hiss” you’re used to—it’s just smoother overall. Pair that with how little gas comes back at the shooter, and it makes for a much more comfortable setup to actually run hard. I still got gas but not what you would expect for the sound achievement at the muzzle.
Build quality is what you’d expect from a modern can—3D printed Inconel, solid construction, and built to take heat. It’s also HUB compatible, so you’re not locked into some weird mounting system. I like it.
