These DIY Kitchen shelves are simple and easy to build but they are one of my favorite parts of my new home. They keep the dishes visible and accessible so it's fast and practical on a daily basis but great for when I host dinner parties because my guests can see where to get what they need.
I made the dish shelves 5-1/2 inches wide and used rails for the shelves where I wanted the dishes on their sides. This design could be adjusted to fit different wall spaces and if the horizontal shelves were under 48 inches it would be much more efficient at using a full sheet of plywood.

Walnut Veneer Europly from Columbia Forest Products
I order this from my local lumberyard and it is both expensive and worth it. It is stronger than typical plywood so I can use less and I love the edges
Rubio Monocoat
This is also expensive but worth it. It saves time because its can go on fast and you are not standing there with a brush for hours trying to even it out. I love this stuff!
