In this video, I install the DMCH UltraDrive angle drive in my '81 DeLorean, replacing the broken factory speedometer angle drive. The factory angle drive has a nearly 100% failure rate, resulting in loss of speedometer and odometer. Over the years the OEM supply has been exhausted, and the reproductions in many cases are not much better than the factory unit. In 2025, DMCH introduced the UltraDrive which was designed from the ground to overcome the issues with factory and aftermarket designs. Spiral bevel gears, stainless housing, Oilite bearings, and a sealed design mean this angle drive will be a permanent fix to a common problem.
