If your DJI Mini 5 Pro has fallen and the gimbal feels loose, one of the mounts popped out, or the rubber dampers (shock absorber) are torn, this step-by-step repair guide will show you how to fix it.
In this video, I’ll show how to disassemble the DJI Mini 5 Pro, remove the upper and lower body covers, disconnect the gimbal signal cable, remove the gimbal camera assembly, replace the rubber dampers, and install the gimbal mount back correctly.
DJI Mini 5 Pro gimbal rubber dampers work as shock absorbers between the gimbal and the drone frame. If they are torn, stretched, hardened, or deformed after a crash, they can cause camera vibration, shaky footage, gimbal instability, or calibration problems.

🌟FAQ:
❓Question: Can damaged gimbal dampers cause shaky video?
✔️Answer: Yes. Damaged rubber dampers can cause vibration, unstable footage, gimbal shaking, or calibration problems because they no longer absorb movement correctly.
❓Question: Does replacing DJI Mini 5 Pro gimbal dampers require calibration?
✔️Answer: The damper replacement itself does not require calibration, but it is recommended to run gimbal auto calibration in the DJI Fly app after reassembly.
❓Question: What if the gimbal is still stuck, tilted, or showing errors?
✔️Answer: If the camera is stuck, tilted, shaking, not stabilizing, or shows errors like gimbal motor overloaded or gimbal calibration error, the internal gimbal parts may need repair.
