In this DJI Mini 5 Pro repair guide, I’ll show you how to remove and replace the core board, also known as the main board. This repair may help if your drone crashed, fell into water, does not power on, has no image transmission, or shows multiple errors such as IMU initializing, abnormal sensor, gimbal attitude error, arm-not-deployed warning, or unable to take off.
You’ll learn how to remove the upper cover, disconnect the antenna and gimbal signal cable, remove the heatsink, safely lift out the core board, and avoid damaging the folding arm detection switch. I’ll also explain how loose connectors, damaged sockets, corrosion, scratched traces, or board damage can cause several DJI Fly app errors at the same time.
This guide is also useful for water-damaged DJI Mini 5 Pro drones. I’ll show where to inspect the board for corrosion and explain when cleaning may help or when the core board may need replacement. For detailed water damage restoration, check my separate drone water damage repair guide linked below.
