⛳👀 DID YOU KNOW ABOUT GOLF'S 10-SECOND RULE?
Sometimes all you need is a little patience… and maybe a little SHADE! 😂☀️
During a round with Coach Steve, Atreo had a putt hanging on the edge of the cup that actually DROPPED as he was walking toward it! 🙌⛳
That turned into a great teaching moment about one of golf's lesser-known rules!
🏌️♂️ Here's how it works:
Under USGA Rule 13.3, when your ball is overhanging the lip of the hole, you're allowed a reasonable amount of time to walk up to it, PLUS another 10 seconds to see if it drops!
✅ If it falls within that time, it counts as holed with your previous stroke!
⚠️ If it falls after that time, you must add a penalty stroke.
☀️ And here's an interesting old-school golf trick!
Some golfers believe that casting your shadow over the ball can cause the grass to relax or lay down just enough to help it fall into the cup! It's a popular golf theory, although whether it actually works is still up for debate!
