Finishing this felt like working on a deadline as I really, really wanted to get it up before the second season of this show. And here I am, uploading literally hours before. But I did it.
I honestly don't know how I feel about this video. It's very off-brand for me and throughout most of the process I felt incapable of handling this song, to the point that I was ready to give up. Thankfully, the wonderful encouragement I received on Twitter in response to a preview convinced me to push through, and that is 100% the only reason this video has actually made it to YT.
So, I want to firstly thank Briony (brionyx509) who listened to me complain a great deal about this video and who, flatteringly enough, was inspired by my preview to finish a Stranger Things vid of her own, which then inspired me further to finish this one.
Check out her wonderful vid to Woodkid's "Run Boy Run": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sct9aaBqqM
And I also want to thank Sara (Shainira) for her words of encouragement, as well as everyone else on Twitter who responded to my preview.
Lastly... I just want to quickly say that with this video I really tried not to overthink it too much, I just wanted to have fun with the footage as the main reason I even wanted to vid this show was that I thought it would be a lot of fun. I cannot wait for the new season and the darker direction it's going; hopefully it'll spawn more ST vids from me to come.
