Description
Guys… what are these?! 👀
Meet Demodex - microscopic mites that naturally live on your skin. Everyone has them… but in certain types of rosacea, their numbers can increase and start contributing to inflammation.
This is where things get interesting.
Not all rosacea is the same - and this matters.
✔️ Papules + pustules (acne-like bumps)? Different approach
✔️ Ocular involvement (lid crusting)? Another pathway
✔️ Flushing + visible vessels? Completely different again
Treating rosacea isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s about choosing the right approach for the right subtype.
For inflammatory rosacea, we often target:
👉 Redness, swelling, sensitivity (calming inflammation)
👉 Demodex density (because in some patients, they do play a role)
Results take time - think weeks, not days. Consistency, gentle skincare, and barrier repair are just as important as the active treatment itself.
📝 Tip: Start slow, build up, and support your skin as you go.
Rosacea management = treatment + triggers + long-term skin strategy.
