This video tutorial explains my method for preparing a drawing to be painted in Photoshop. My method elegantly deletes out the background of a drawing leaving nothing but the lines in about 10-15 seconds. Enjoy!
Hotkeys I use in this tutorial:
adjust levels: ctrl L
RGB channel selection: ctrl alt ~
delete selection: delete
deselect: ctrl D
default colors (black/white): D
lock transparency: /
fill - forground color: alt backspace
merge layer down: ctrl e
