Deep Purple – Mistreated - David Coverdale - Ritchie Blackmore | Cover - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
MISTREATED is one of the most awesome slow Blues Rock songs ever from Deep Purple. This is one that is steeped in grit and soul, and really speaks to the kind of vocals I love.
Continuing in celebration of the recent Deep Purple Reunion, where Ritchie Blackmore once again took to the stage with his bandmates, I submit to you my cover of MISTREATED.
If you follow my channel, you know that I am a big fan of the kind of soulful sound that has long been championed by the amazing David Coverdale. And to top that off, Ronnie James Dio also performed this song with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and RJD is also one of my all-time favorite inspirations as a vocalist. This is the kind of song that you can really dig into and get some awesome vocal tones going.
So what could be better than a hybrid Coverdale/Dio/Blackmore kind of song with a dose of Ken Tamplin style blended in for good measure? Now we're talkin' Blues Rock the way it was meant to be sung!
I'm loving this Deep Purple Renaissance...
