On August 20th of 1934, a small start up publishing company was formed that later went on to become DC Comics. Likewise, a couple years later, Charleston Comics started publishing comics featuring a character called Blue Beetle. Some 80 years and two incarnations later, DC comics would later introduce a modern Blue Beetle that would become my absolute favorite character of all time: Jaime Reyes.
As such, on this video, we discuss the legacy of DC Comics and the Blue Beetle persona, as well as the beauty of the small West Texas town El Paso.
