This is not my usual content but I was so excited about this that I had to share it with you.
These two fishies share the same yolk sac!!!! I'm flabbergasted!
They are Lake Malawi African Cichlids and their mother is a mouth brooder, meaning that she will hold the fish in her mouth for about one month. After this time, her fry are well developed usually have consumed their yolk sac.
At the stage of development that you see them in this video, they are not fully developed, because their mother spit them out prematurely.
These fish don't have a high life expectancy. If I'm able to see them to their full development, I'll be lucky.
In my 10 years breeding african cichlids, this is the second time that this happens. Last time with was with the same species as well : Aulonocara.
