heyyyy everyone, city girl here!!! happy 2026!
my friend from highschool (guided tour) and i decided to make a collab album and I think it turned out p good!! im interested to see if long time CG fans can hear the unique elements they bring to each song.
tiffi is here as usual with some amazing voice-over work, i think she really nailed that ethereal video game npc vibe! it really adds another layer of interest and "lore" to the tracks which i love.
the album art is so exciting for me, as its a real artwork from the polish painter stefan knapp! his estate was kind enough to license it to me and WOW is it a beautiful piece! i highly recommend checking out his wikipedia page, his life and works are so special to me and a real testament to the power of art and the role it plays in ppl's lives.
as for the album itself, we used alot of drum machines and synths (roland xv-5080, omnisphere's 'unclean machine' expansion, rave generator which is such a meme synth but i love it). we also incorporated some electronic guitar and bass which always adds a nice funky human feel (fender p-bass and stratocaster). its all assembled in ableton live 10 and i mostly mastered it with UAD plugins but tbh i didnt do much, i really dont care about mastering these days, the songs are either a vibe or they arent, u kno?
last but not least the sort of lore and poetry of the album is very inspired by the doll's voice lines in bloodborne and the work of the american poet deirdre o’connor. ok well thanks for tuning in, love y'all!!!!
