Welcome to Chicago Rail Action in the 1990’s. Chicago has always been the railroading capital of the United States, and action in the 90’s offered an immense amount of variety when it came to railroads. We get started by catching Metra commuter trains on the UP, former Chicago and North Western Geneva Subdivision near Elmhurst, Illinois.

We will head down to the BNSF “Racetrack” in Naperville, we catch Metra action along with BNSF trains on this busy triple track mainline that heads west out of Chicago.

Being only a few years after the combination of the BN and Santa Fe railways which formed BNSF, there’s still plenty of BN green and white to be seen. We will also see plenty of Amtrak and Metra Action!

Tons of 1990’s Chicago Rail action in this program from Terry Lewis
