Description
Character is Caught, Not Only Taught | Righteous company and the next generation
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
This video explains how young people should move beyond temporary emotional attachments and dedicate their lives to the universal and global mission of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Addressing North American and European sisters and youth forums, Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri emphasizes that one’s relationship with Islam is not merely about attending an event or filling out a membership form rather, it is a continuous and lifelong way of living. It is further explained, in the light of verses 2 and 3 of Surah Al Jumuah, that the vision of the Prophetic mission of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ extends to all generations until the Day of Judgment. Those who, in later times, rise to revive, promote, and spread Islam, the Quran, and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ become part of the same great spiritual legacy of the Companions and the continuing chain of representation and service to the Prophetic mission. The video further states that alongside worldly responsibilities, employment, and education, a person should organize their twenty four hours in a disciplined manner and dedicate at least two hours every day to religious learning, study, and inviting others toward the truth. Finally, the concept of a spiritual “rebirth” is explained with the important message that a person’s true spiritual descendants and successors are those who keep their thought, concern, and mission of reviving the faith alive and carry it forward to future generations.
