When a young journalist is found brutally murdered, the vigilante known as Phantom Lady sets out to bring her killers to justice, and unravel the mystery surrounding her demise.

A WORD FROM CHRIS

This followup story only came about because of the exorbitant amount of views the first installment got. It was literally the most watched video of 2025 within two weeks of its release, and I am a firm believer that if people like something, you give em more. So once I realized how well received the first chapter was, I immediately began writing the next. However this time, I wanted to smooth over a few details.

The biggest change to my take on Arthur Peddy's 1941 creation would most notably be the costume. In the first installment, I tried really hard to stay as loyal to the original design while also remaining practical. It worked, but it wasn't up to my liking. The yellow body suit Lindsey Bean wore was waaaay too bright and looked rather gaudy, given the serious tone I was going for, so I chose a darker color with a lot more black contouring added to it this time around. I also wanted to give Phantom Lady a utility belt since she doesn't have any super powers, (I, of course, am not referring to any of her DC comics incarnations when I say this) and made her somewhat gadget reliant.

I really enjoyed the political thriller themes of the first chapter, so it felt like the right choice to stick with that genre. I've done many action pieces where the vigilante hero just bursts in and beats the stuffing out of all the bad guys (I'm literally doing that with Ms. Fury next), but it's not that often that I get to have my hero dunk on the villain of the story simply by being smarter, and I think that is the secret ingredient to Phantom Lady. She's more than just a crime fighter, she's a genius who does her homework before going out on a mission, and when the time comes for an epic mic drop, there's no way out. She's got all the evidence, the authorities are already en route, and she's pretty much just killing time, rubbing her opponent's nose in their crimes before the clock runs out. It's like a modern day Columbo.... if he was a gorgeous woman who moonlights as a superhero.

Production for CHAPTER TWO was rather straight forward. I filmed over the course of 2 days, with a couple of pickup shots here and there. I think the biggest challenge was once again trying to make Los Angeles look & feel like Washington DC. It's times like this when I wish I wasn't so limited with my budget, as I know I could truly maximize that classic political thriller vibe had I been able to shoot in the DC area.... But as most of you already know, I work with what I have.
