It’s been six years since Atlanta-based worship leader, Casey J, released her sophomore album, The Gathering, which produced the Billboard Top Ten Gospel Airplay chart single, “If God/ Nothing But the Blood.” As she preps to release a new EP, 'Stories We Sing,' she offers this guitar-driven up-tempo declaration of faith which percolates with elements of tribal percussion, Celtic rhythms and Sunday morning service enthusiasm. Throughout, Casey J’s distinctive tone floats over the melody and passionately heralds the Good News! The vamp of “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me” is infectious and as she sings about mercy chasing her, the listener can’t help but run along as she sings, “every time I turn around.” Every time we turn around, Casey J comes up with a clever new spin on how to worship!
