Description

LVMPD provided an update on the Hybrid RAID/VIPER Squad’s efforts to combat dangerous driving, street racing, stunt driving, and felony evasion across the Las Vegas Valley.

Since February 2026, the specialized team has arrested 24 suspects for felony evading and driver disobey peace officer offenses, linked those cases to 36 separate incidents where suspects fled from police, and made 47 arrests related to reckless and trick driving.

As part of those efforts, two vehicles used in illegal stunt-driving activities—a 2009 Infiniti G37S and a 2007 Nissan 350Z—were seized through the legal process and destroyed today.

One driver participated in a street takeover, drifting dangerously close to spectators and nearly colliding with a semi-truck and a bus. The other repeatedly engaged in illegal trick driving, fled from law enforcement at excessive speeds, and altered the vehicle’s appearance in an attempt to avoid arrest.

These vehicles are no longer on our streets.

The message is simple: If you choose to participate in illegal street racing, stunt driving, or felony evasion, you risk losing more than your license. Through the legal process, your vehicle can be seized and destroyed.

These enforcement actions are about preventing crashes, protecting lives, and keeping our community safe.
