Cleaning Mouse Droppings
Most people don’t realize that cleaning rodent droppings the wrong way can actually put harmful particles into the air. In this video, I show safer cleaning techniques for garages, barns, storage rooms, and hoarder houses with signs of mice or rodent activity.
⚠️ NEVER dry sweep or vacuum rodent droppings or nesting material.
In this cleanup, I use:
• Ventilation before cleaning
• Gloves and a mask
• Spray bottles to wet surfaces first
• Disposable cleanup rags made from old clothes and socks to save money instead of wasting paper towels
My grandfather became seriously ill after cleaning mouse nests in a barn years ago, and now I take rodent cleanup safety very seriously.
