Building Magic QA on Android using Gemini 3 Vision and MediaProjection 🚀
In this video, we build Magic QA, an Android feature powered by Gemini 3 Vision and the MediaProjection API, where AI visually analyzes the user’s screen and provides intelligent answers. This is not a toy demo. It is a practical, real-world AI use case that fits modern Android applications.
What you will learn in this video? 📚
You will learn how to build a complete end-to-end AI pipeline where the app is first used manually while the screen is shared in real time. The captured frames are streamed to Gemini 3 Vision 👀, which understands the UI, user actions, and screen state, and then automatically generates Jetpack Compose UI tests 🧪 based on that understanding. These generated tests are pushed to Firebase ☁️, and a Python script inside the project fetches them and integrates them directly into the source code. We also cover the architectural flow, reliability concerns, performance ⚡, security 🔒, and the real engineering challenges involved in turning vision-based understanding into executable, scalable UI tests.
