*Debby and Butch, hosts of Brother Fish Ranch and the Luxury Tipi Experience, acknowledge Treaty 7 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.

Debby and Butch met Bruce and Deanna of the Tsuu T’ina First Nations in 2020. In the early winter of 2021, Butch and Debby worked with Bruce and Deanna and were gifted the story of the tipi, which has a Blackfoot canvas and Tsuu T’ina bones and are looking forward to sharing that story with our guest.

"Working with Bruce and Deanna was an amazing experience" says Debby of her time spent in the creation of these beautiful pieces. "We were able to sit with them, listen and hear their stories and truly make a heart connection with these kind and generous humans." Deanna is a master seamstress and has stitched together countless tipis that now reside across North America. "We are so lucky and blessed to have two of these masterpieces." comments Butch.
