More than 120 flats in north-west London have been without heating or hot water for five days after their gas supply was disconnected over an energy debt of around £300,000.
Residents, including families with young children, say the situation has been extremely difficult.
The building’s management company, Rendall & Rittner, says it took over in May and wasn’t aware of the size of the debt until then. It says its priority is supporting residents and working with the freeholder and energy supplier to restore the gas supply.
The freeholder was contacted for comment but did not respond.
