Description
This has been a sleeper for way too long. After listening to the soundfile, you like me, will be bewildered why this relentless thumping Northern Soul juggernaut has never rose to the pinnacle of rare Northern Soul, dancers. Hailing from the same area as so many superior soul group to emerge from Indianapolis.
A slick seven man gathering from Indianapolis, Indiana were renowned for their harmonic soul, supported by heavy duty horn backup, consistently ticking all the boxes for rare-soul pedigree as you about to experience when you unleash double delight hidden in the soundfile.
The first time I heard "For Granted" was in 1984 after a young British hopeful "digger" Chris Modley from Boston, Lincolnshire had spent a holiday in Chicago's famed record store "Beverley Records"... Produced by legendary soul producer "Nashville's" Bob Riley, a collaboration with "Moonlighters" lead man "Herbert William Gibbs" together they crafted a top-drawer Northern Soul vocal group dancer.
With the rest of the world now drooling over late 60's harmony sweet-soul perfection "I've Lost Again" is a sublime soulful harmony cruiser, we all overlooked 40 years ago, at the time when we were all very blinkered Northern Soul DJs suffering from tunnel vision.
Two contrasting but killer sides, today a very tough find disc, especially in this sublime condition! Listen and prepare to be impressed.
