A Booth Level Officer (BLO) was allegedly assaulted while conducting a door-to-door survey for voter ID corrections in Bada Anki village under Jharbandh block in Bargarh district on Sunday morning. The BLO, Krupasindhu Bariha, reportedly had an argument with a village resident, Rajesh Sidar, following which the latter allegedly attacked him, according to Bariha's complaint. He sustained a serious injury to his head and was initially treated at Dabha Health Centre. He was later shifted to Padampur Sub-Divisional Hospital, where treatment is underway.
