Ten pups total five girls five boys i think i check again in few days when they are able to stand being held . pups have now been moved back into old whelping area due to noise could not sleep they are load but thats what this stream is for i can see them on my tablet any where i am but you all get to watch as well the birth had a few hiccups see previous stream to see the problems you may encounter even i learned a few new tricks but never let a poorly pup just die stimulate it and get it way from bitch as soon as you can especially if they try to eat it yes they eat week pups if they think they wont survive that's when you step in i even had to tie of 2 umbilical's as emery ate through to close to pup and the first on placenta came out minutes before pup she ate it like she was suppose to but pup was still inside and she separated it from pup and it had started to bleed out inside her but as soon as i spotted it i grabbed pup and from my farm training with cows yes it can happen to any animal. i gabbed the umbilical and held it until i could find help i ran vets they told me to tie of the umbilical with clean cotton or cable tie i could not find one i called to a workman across the road who after he had none went to two neighbours trying to get some thank god second one had some he helped out by holding pup after he was unable as pup had stated to0 respond and started moving more so he held it for me in the washers while i tied the cotton off i had to trim it when i got back inside . the mum that minutes before had tried to eat pup because of weakness from blood loss was inside frantic barking but with his help we stopped bleeding pup was getting stronger by the minute she is now very attentive with it thanks mate who ever you are i did not even get your name but you know who you are you are a hero to animal lovers so if you dad told you he did it believe him he did . by the time i went out side to thank him properly he had gone as i had to trim the cotton and return pup to mother she never left my side while i was saving the pup except when i had to go out side as she would not have let him in
this will be Emeralds s last litter as last one was suppose to be last as i only let my dogs have a few litters as i breed quality not quantity as my dogs are pedigrees
as you will see around ten am we had a emergency looks like placenta Emmy was eating before pup born was from number 8 by time it came out looks like had lost a heap of blood was very weak and barely breathing but my self and a workman and help from a neighbour giving me some clean cotton we tied of of the umbilical cord on my porch i have named hit lucky dont know its sex yet with good advise from vet with 10 took my knowledge learned ( it turned out Emmy ate to close and ruptured the cord but all are now doing well and have survived and all squeaking away might not get much sleep tonight
10 so far 7,8,10 was a red but had emergency her 8.10 had to tie umbilical cord number 10 was also a red had to tie umbilical cord number for both . we have 2 reds 8 black and ?(colour) you will see me stopping her from natural instinct to eat the weak pups as she is not in wild and she has my support and as it happens and is why im always there and why she even waits for me to be home to have pups i even get dragged to whelping area thats why i made a second one next to my bed so i could be there all the time and lay down if i had to the first false alarms i had to lay down on makeshift bed in corridor of whelping are 8 times so yes i made new one ill even redo that next dogs litter as well
