EXPLANATION:
Jacob and his adopted daughter, Emma, would regularly visit the health care facility (idk if that’s what u call it??) to visit Phillip, who lost memories of them from his last war mission. Phillip now refuses to wear his glasses because whenever he wears it, he sees bad memories of the faces of his comrades and the scenes of war. He’s more anxious and cautious of a lot of things and to people. They are both patient for Phillip to remember slowly. Jacob and Emma would help around the facility when giving Phillip his space. Phillip eventually warms up to them.
When Jacob and Phillip dance, his past memories came flashing back but jumbled that it was too overwhelming and triggering. He anxiously backs away and just wants to be alone. He leaves Jacob and Emma and went back to his room, afraid of remembering any more of his memories. Jacob can’t help but smile that there’s still hope for Phillip. After all, he promised to him that he'll wait for him.
