For those looking for a bit of winter inspiration then check out this 57.3 common I had in the depths of winter a good few years ago now from the park lake.
I’d packed up and was wheeling my barrow round to go home a day early when I saw a fish show and decided to stay instead of going home.
It turned out to be the best decision I made and resulted in not only a great winter catch, but one of my most treasured for this fish hadn’t been out for 2 years and I as feared dead.
And is my current PB so not only was it a great catch it was a defining moment for me and I always remember when I’m struggling for a bite or not caught for a while and the going is tough, that never give up as your best catch could be just around the corner.
It really does only take one bite!
