Belgium to the Netherlands by Bike: N403 to Hulst Markt

Description

The starting point of this ride is near the E34 highway towards Antwerp, right along the N403 heading to the border crossing into Hulst, the Netherlands. This is a very busy transit route that is actually not ideal for cyclists—especially during rush hour due to heavy traffic. Public transport connections here are also very poor, with only about three buses a day, making the car essential for this region. Fortunately, we do have the F411 cycle highway at another border crossing just a few kilometers away, which connects directly to Sint-Niklaas. People living outside the city have to travel an extra 10 to 15 km to reach their village—and by bike, that can mean up to an extra hour of cycling. That distance is especially noticeable in the winter. Enjoy the footage all the way to Hulst city center and the end of the route!
