Description
Beekeeping can be depressing. Are mite treatments causing more issue than helping? It's one of the biggest concerns beekeepers have when treating honey bees for Varroa mites. Formic Pro is an effective mite treatment, but what happens to the queen during treatment? Could she stop laying eggs, become injured, or even die?

In today's video, I'm taking you into the hive to discuss Formic Pro, queen mortality, and what beekeepers need to understand before and after treating their colonies.
We'll discuss the potential risks to your queen, why some colonies experience queen problems following treatment, and what you should watch for when inspecting your bees.
Just because a queen disappears after treatment, does that mean Formic Pro killed her? That's an important question, and one every beekeeper should understand.
As an EAS Certified Master Beekeeper with over 30 years of beekeeping experience, my goal is to help you make informed decisions about protecting your bees from Varroa mites while keeping your colonies healthy and productive.
IMPORTANT: Always read and follow the current Formic Pro label, including temperature restrictions, colony-strength requirements, ventilation instructions, and treatment directions.
🐝 LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS: Have you ever lost a queen or experienced queen problems after treating with Formic Pro? I'd love to hear what happened in your hive!
