Animal Humane Society recently welcomed a special arrival to Minnesota: 33 Beagles released from the Ridglan Farms breeding facility in Wisconsin.

When the Beagle Freedom Project reached out to ask if Animal Humane Society could take in 33 dogs at our own shelter and help transport 16 more to local rescue partners, it was easy to say yes. As a national leader in animal welfare, AHS has the resources and expertise need to support high stakes rescues like these — because we know we can count on generous donors like you to share your heart with animals.

These sweet Beagles have only known a life in captivity and have been bred by Ridglan Farms for use in testing facilities. Beagles are frequently used as testing subjects due to their trusting and forgiving nature.

Although they're amazingly resilient, these dogs will need time to adjust to their new lives.

The Thiebault Family has generously offered to match donations made on behalf of these dogs up to $15,000. Please give today and ensure AHS can respond to community calls for aid and be a safe place for animals who need care for years to come: http://animalhumanesociety.org/beagles
