Note: the few pictures at the beginning are of my siblings and I as kids in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Our family visited yearly and as there were four of us kids total, our parents assigned us “hat colors” on our first trip and we didn’t deviate from those “colors” in each subsequent trip. — ALL of the following pictures are PUBLIC DOMAIN from the Library of Congress.
I’m working on a few Civil War related paintings as we speak. I am quite nerdy in regards to this subject and I do have a 4x great grandfather who fought for the Union with the 12th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment.
