Descripción
FANUC Authorized System Integrator, Dvolu designed and engineered a fully automated upholstery cell for a leading Canadian furniture manufacturer, replacing a labor-intensive, high-dexterity manual process with a vision-guided robotic workflow that delivers consistent, repeatable quality at scale.
The FANUC M-710iC robot identifies, picks, positions, stretches, staples, trims, and palletizes chair seat linings with minimal operator intervention. Vision scanning locates each seat cushion's exact position and orientation on the pallet, eliminating variation and reducing dependence on increasingly difficult-to-staff manual operations.
Key Benefits:
• End-to-End Automation: Fabric stretching, perimeter stapling, and precision laser trimming, all in a single integrated cell.
• Vision-Guided Accuracy: Real-time pallet scanning adapts to part positioning without manual adjustment.
• Tangible Labor Relief: Resolves one of the most persistent staffing challenges in the furniture industry—dexterous, repetitive, high-volume assembly.
About DVOLU
Dvolu is a manufacturing engineering firm that works alongside industrial companies, from initial diagnosis to full commissioning as a committed, client-side partner.
Since 2016, Dvolu has helped Quebec manufacturers tackle their most pressing operational challenges through three integrated areas of expertise: factory optimization and diagnostics, machine safety and regulatory compliance, and robotic and equipment integration. Whether the need is to map inefficiencies before committing to capital investment, bring equipment into compliance with applicable safety standards, or integrate new automated systems into an existing production environment, Dvolu brings the same hands-on, terrain-first approach to every project.
Structured to deliver both advisory mandates and turnkey execution, Dvolu operates across multiple industries with a single commitment: practical solutions that solve real problems, at the right scale, with the attention every project deserves.
