APK is holding tryouts for the 2022 WCT Season! If you're interested in trying out, you'll need to do the following.
Create a Tryout Video like the example here (Details for that video below)
Upload that Video to Google Drive and Share that video/folder with apksubmission@gmail.com
The deadline for submissions is the Ides of March (if you don't know when that is, better find out)
Now, as for the video here is what you'll need to include:
Athlete Intro
30-60 Second video introduction including
Your name
Your Height (helps up gauge the distance and height of your movements in the video)
Why you feel you would be a good fit for the APK team and why you want to be on the APK team
Chase Tag Videos (Must be from within the last year) These should be FULL chases, not highlights
2 Chases, at least 1 long chase (10s or more)
2 Chases as evader
Basic parkour skills (must be from within the last year) -
A video completing a speed course (course should be long enough that completion time is at least 10 seconds)
20-30 second Parkour Skills video including skills you feel showcase your ability to play chase tag
We ask that 2 specific skills be included in speed and/or parkour skills video
Safety/Speed vault
Quadrupedal movement
A video performing the following movement
Starting from standing feet together, jump into a stride, into a second stride, into a plyo jump
The goal is to cover as much distance as possible and showcase your ability to transfer power efficiently
General Conditioning / Fitness
Stamina -
15 Yard Shuttle runs
20 seconds to run back and forth 15 yards touching the line on each end with 1 hand as many times as possible
30 second rest and return to start
Repeat for 6 repetitions
Agility - Agility Star run - 5 yard cones
