On 16 May 2026, a Croatia Airlines Airbus A220-300 was involved in a runway excursion during a rejected takeoff at Split Airport, Croatia.
According to reports, the aircraft veered off the runway and came to a stop on the grass area after the takeoff was aborted. It also reportedly struck several runway edge lights and a marker board, causing minor damage to the aircraft.
Despite the incident, all passengers and crew members are reported to be safe, and no injuries have been reported.
