Air India Express Dubai flight, take off from Surat airport and flying an unusual route

Just after takeoff, the aircraft executed a wide U-turn, offering passengers a view of Surat airport runway. That day, the flight followed an unusual route, flying over Gujarat instead of the usual path directly over the Arabian Sea after takeoff. Adverse weather conditions over the sea necessitated the change in course, allowing passengers to observe extensive stretches of land for an extended period, even from above the clouds.
