Description
This SHORT, which features ORIGINAL CONTENT, not reshared content from my long-form videos like others utilize, was shot using an iPhone 14 Pro mounted on top of my primary camera. The video showcased here is one part featuring the Air Force Academy Glider Demonstration during the Friday practice show. I've set the zoom on the iPhone prior to recording on the iPhone AND recording on the primary camera, focusing primarily on the video I get off of that camera - which is much more zoomed in than the iPhone (set and forget). If you'd like to see that long form video, I've linked it as the Related Video and I've also pasted the entire description of that video below this text.
The United States Air Force Academy's Glider Demo Team takes the stage at Travis Air Force Base during the Friday rehearsal airshow.
The 2026 Wings Over Solano Airshow took place at Travis Air Force Base near Fairfield, California from April 25-26, 2026. The video showcased here was shot on Friday April 24, 2026 during the practice and rehearsal airshow, which was open to military families and friends as well as credentialed media. In addition, the video shot on Friday is also dedicated to the memory of Rob Holland, who lost his life on that day one year ago. All video shot during the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday airshows was shot from within the aerobatic box.
MUSIC DISCLAIMER: Any music in the video was played through a public address system and ZINGER AVIATION MEDIA does not have any control over what music is being played during an air show or the volume of said music. Over the years, the music industry has increased its concern to ensure they are paid when ANY copyrighted music is played. Therefore, according to the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS), any U.S. air show, whether civilian or military, must secure the necessary music licenses for broadcast of pre-recorded copyrighted music over public address systems. As stated for the 2026 airshow season, ICAS has negotiated a deal that will allow issuance of music licenses for ICAS member air shows for all three US music licensing organizations: ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. Each ICAS member air show is eligible for a single package of the three music licenses for one air show at the cost of $770 for a one (1) day air show; $1,100 for a two (2) day air show; $1,375 for a three (3) day air show; $1,650 for a four (4) day air show; $1,925 for a five (5) day air show, $2,200 for a six (6) day air show; $2,475 for a seven (7) day air show, and $2,750 for an eight (8) day air show. The rate applies only to music broadcast over the public address system during the public air show portion of the program (not practice/rehearsal/closed to the public days) and does not provide the air show with the right to use pre-recorded music at concerts or other non-air show special events held in conjunction with the air show. These rates may be higher for 2026 events.
