At the ATD conference, we spoke with an instructional designer who perfectly captured how to approach AI: Use it, but in the right way.
Taking an intentional approach to AI means:
- Evaluating AI-generated outputs with a discerning eye rather than accepting them at face value.
- Knowing where your information comes from and how responses are generated.
- Leveraging tools like text-based editing or automated scripting as assistants to speed up your work, not as a complete replacement for human intervention.
AI is a powerful collaborator when you treat it as an efficiency tool rather than a full reliance.
