Description
Kenya is building Konza Technopolis, a $14.5 billion dollar smart city that Kenya’s hopes will become the Silicon Valley of Africa, known as the SIlicon Savannah. Konza Technopolis is located 64 kilometers southeast of Nairobi, covering 20.2 square kilometers and eventually hosting 185,000 people. It will host a world class postgraduate university and will have a green, pedestrian focused city layout. Konza Technopolis is under construction and its first phase is planned to be completed by 2022. The full megaproject should reach completion in 2030!
