Here I am.
Staring into blank nothingness.
Where do i start?
I suppose.. i’ve already begun.
So let us continue.
I've been stuck in the same place for years now.
Time seems to drift.
The ocean sways
The birds begin to flock
Tree’s begin to whipser to one another
As their leaves begin to fall
There you stand, looking into your own reflection.
But you aren’t looking at yourself.
For some reason, you look at everyone else.
How quickly they walk,
And somehow they feel so ahead.
It’s this crippling feeling where you can’t move.
Paralyzed in one spot.
Staring motionless into that same reflection.
But.. the sunset, doesn’t wait for anybody.
And as you stare into it’s beauty,
Everything around you begins to change.
And everything begins to slow down.
Time begins to slip away.
But as you keep staring into your own reflection,
Standing completely motionless..
Suddenly, everyone around you begins to sprint.
And as you continue to stare,
You suddenly begin to understand.
A sunset, doesn’t wait for anyone.
It’s a melancholy feeling
That all this time, you just stood there
Staring into your own reflection.
Wasting your breath.
The amount of potential in our lives.
We sometimes don’t even know where to begin.
So stop thinking so much.
Move forward.
Stop looking into that same reflection.
Keep moving forward.
Because a sunset, doesn’t wait for anybody. '
