Description
An interesting audio clash of different eras and conditions! Today we are testing a true "barn find" setup – a vintage 70s Czechoslovakian receiver, the Tesla Sextet 637A, paired with modern Aiwa 2-way bass reflex bookshelf speakers. It's old, it's dirty, but how does it actually sound? Listen and let me know in the comments! 👇
🔊 Equipment Specifications in this video:
Tesla Sextet 637A Receiver (1978-1981): A classic stereo receiver (tuner amplifier) made by Tesla Bratislava. It features a beautiful wooden cabinet with a black plastic mask and a plexiglass scale cover. It delivers an output power of 2x 10W and includes AM (SW, MW, LW) and FM (66-73, 87.5-104 MHz) bands. It is equipped with 4 presets for FM, bass/treble/balance controls, and a 3-LED tuning indicator. Fun fact: "Sextet" refers to a musical composition for six instruments or voices!
Aiwa Bookshelf Speakers: A modern 2-way bass reflex speaker system designed to provide punchy lows and clear highs, offering a fascinating contrast to the vintage 70s Tesla amplification.
