At 46, I’ve realised I don’t want to get better at squeezing more into my day. I want to get better at buying some of my time back.
Between running my business creating lots of different content across lots of different platforms, raising three children, looking after three dogs and trying to have some space left for myself and my relationship, time has become one of the most valuable resources I have.
So in this video, I’m sharing 7 practical changes I’ve made that are giving me hours back every week — and helping me protect my time, money and mental energy.
From using click & collect instead of wandering around the supermarket, moving more meetings and podcast recordings online, simplifying my beauty and hair routine, being more strategic with the kids’ activities and school runs, getting everyone to contribute more at home, through to becoming much more protective of my sleep.
None of these changes are revolutionary on their own.
But stacked together? They’ve made a surprisingly big difference to how my weeks feel.
And perhaps that’s what I’m learning at this stage of my life: wealth isn’t only about having more money. It’s also about having more ownership over your time.
