In this video I had an issue with my intake bumping the coolant ports that previously went to the twin turbo setup. Since my turbo is not water cooled, I don't need these, and since they're in the way of the turbo inlet, they have to go! I use the tools listed below and I remove the coolant feed, drill it, tap it, plug it, and then install my turbo inlet pipe (unobstructed!)
tools needed:
vice grips
1/4-18 NPT tap
7/16 drill bit and drill
1/4-18 NPT plug (2)
directions:
1) remove the coolant neck to remove the metal gasket behind it, then bolt it back in place or safely clamp it into a vice if you have one. 2) clamp your vice grips onto the small coolant outlet and try to move it up and down. This will be difficult initially. 3) once the coolant outlet is moving easily, place a flathead screwdriver or small pry tool between your vice grips and pry as to slip the tube out of the hole. once both are out you can proceed to drill the hole. 4) remove the coolant neck and then drill the hole to enlarge it with a 7/16 drill bit. 5) use the 1/4-18NPT tap to tap the hole. 6) clean the aluminum shavings 7) put the plug or -AN fitting adapter in the hole you just tapped, be sure to use soke teflon tape 8) reinstall the neck and metal gasket
