Greetings. This video is just some chronograph results I got from testing a weird reduced 22/250 Remington load using IMR "Trail Boss" powder.
I came across this IMR "Trail Boss" reduced load and decided to try a version of it. I used Remington Brass and for a bullet the "CamPro" bulk 55 grain FMJBT. I was having some issues with the scope/mount/zero so I did not bother showing the groups. The group with the 9.1 grain charge was terrible, the others were better(ish). I might repeat this test with 55 grain V-Max or Nosler Varmageddon bullets. Might be a good load for those times that full throttle 22/250 power is not required.
The test rifle is a Savage 12 with 26" barrel, chronograph was about 8 feet from the muzzle. This was filmed December 3rd, 2025 with the temperature at about the freezing mark.
I expect this content will be of interest to a very small group of folks. Let me know if this sort of thing is interesting enough to share or should I just keep it unlisted for my own future reference.
