2026 Acura Integra Type S PRL Engine Mount Review | Kills Wheel Hop & Torque Steer But........ As you can see from the video the OEM mount has one bushing offset with many voids in the rubber to absorb shock and torque when driving. Being that these cars are FWD the entire drivetrain is being loaded on this lower engine mount. With the voids in the OEM mount this enables under torque, power shifting and bumps to cause the entire driveline to shake and move back and forth. With any movement of the front driveline you experience increased torque steer and under hard launch wheel hop. The install is super easy took minutes once the car is up on the lift. The car does exhibit greater vibrations through the floor and seats so far in the 2k-4k RPM range under load and not under load. The PRL mount does improve torque steer and wheel hop by about 80% in all scenarios as I show in the drive review of this upgrade. I would say it eliminates 80% of these FWD symptoms and only a pure solid mount would remove them completely. Overall I like the improvements the PRL mount made to the cars dynamics but dislike the added noise and vibrations coming through the car when driving at low speeds around town. Will the PRL bushing wear in over time and become more compliant leading to less vibration and noise that I do not know but if anyone can comment on their experiences please post below. This upgrade may or may not be for everyone except a pure driving enthusiast who is willing to sacrifice some refinement for better handling and overall performance. I does work and it is easy to install and not expensive. You guys can be the judge if you feel this is worth putting on your mod list or not.
