Howdy! This time on the @AutoEdits 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 truck ... we have a leaky transmission fluid pan gasket. So, I decided to drop the pan and do a fluid and filter change while I swap the cork gasket that got installed when the fluid was last changed.
In this video, I'll run through the basics of a transmission fluid drain and filter replacement.
Things go kind of sideways for me in this video as I fumble the surprisingly full fluid pan and make a pretty good mess of me and the garage floor.
Hopefully the rubber replacement gasket lasts as long (or longer) than the cork one!
What do you guys think? Cork or rubber?
